In a few short days one of the most controversial holidays of the year will be coming up. That's right ladies it's Valentine's Day! I say this is controversial because this holiday seems to bring out the worst in some of us. Some people even refer to February 14th as "Singles Awareness Day". This seems a bit harsh if you ask me so I decided to do a little research as to why so many people hate Valentine's Day.
With the data I collected it seemed as if people believed that this holiday was only for people in a relationship and I am here to sit the record straight! Valentine's Day is about love. Not just spouse love but the love you have for your friends, your parents or even your dog! This holiday is literally only about showing each other how much we care and that makes it a winner in my book! I'm here to tell you whether you are cuddled up with a man, hanging out with your mom or eating cupcakes with your dog it is your responsibility to make this Valentine's Day the best one ever and that is all about attitude!
Take this one day a year to spend quality time with the ones you love and stop getting down on yourself if you aren't connected to another human being at the hip. Use this time to discover yourself and to gorge on chocolate, use this time to get dressed up and hang out with friends. No matter what you find yourself doing on February 14 take a little time to remind yourself that you aren't cursed to be alone forever but quite the opposite, you're are blessed to have a life filled with so many people how love you and who you love!
